Last week was busy in the Tomo household.
Long work days and nights for hubby
meant long days with the kiddos for Mama.

I kept busy though!

We ordered 2 tadpoles for a homeschooling project,
but they arrived quite ~well~ let me just say that I almost fainted
when I opened the package.
We were very sad about this and we were delighted
to capture a pickerel frog while on our
nature walk last Tuesday.
He is super cute and I named him Severous Snape
in celebration of finishing one of my ginormous
Harry Potter books.
Peter was very excited and we had a grand time
setting up a lovely frog terrarium for our little buddy.
We LOVE watching him catch crickets!
He stalks them like a cat and we get to watch him
*flick* his long tongue to catch them
and then give himself a lick-bath afterwards.
The tadpole company sent us new baby tadpoles
and they are currently more boring than the frog haha.
All they do is swim around like fish, though they do try to
jump out of their water tank so I have to keep it lightly covered.

I joined forces with a local friend and we
have been getting our children together for crafts and activities.
Last week they painted birdhouses!
It was so sweet watching them paint,
such serious little artists...
Of course, Sunny had to plaster hers with
purple haha!

The trouble with Tribbles???
I LOVE these pom-poms! Sunny loves sorting them
from one bag to another. It keeps her wonderfully
busy at times. I have some fun craft ideas in mind
for these little guys.
Ladybug rocks

Adorable, right?!
I saw this idea on ...wait for it... Pinterest.

Another activity to keep Sunny busy:
Pipe cleaner play.
I saw this on Pinterest too ;)
I have more craft ideas for these than the pom-poms!
Happy Belated Pirate Day!

I've been trying to brush-up on my drawing
skills. Of course, Johnny Depp looks much better
in person, but I do love my pirate drawing!
Eyes are my favorite. :)
