We decided to take drastic measures to pretect
our beloved raspberries and herbs
from being eliminated by the local bunnies and
groundhogs this year.
For starters,
Peter built a clever "cage" around our white
tea raspberry bush. This should prevent our
harvests (usually two yields per year)
from being eaten by the birds and other critters.
I found a wonderful idea for an upright garden
on PINTEREST (I love that word) and I
immediately hired hubby for the job.
It is super sturdy and it keeps the herbs
and future tomatoes out of reach of
hungry little villains.

two weeks after planting... |
I've also made a little spot for Mary as
it is her garden. Sunny loves placing all
of her pretty rocks (and dirt apparently)
around the Blessed Virgin.
Our little lilac bush bloomed last week and
just a few snippets made my kitchen smell
as though Heaven was breezing through!

It's amazing how plants grow in two weeks! |
Hopefully I will be able to catch my rose in bloom this year
as we will be enjoying the bounties of Amish
hospitality for the next week.
TOTALLY EXCITED!!!
