Hand Print Turkeys~ Ages 2+

Here is a cute little craft Sunny
and I did together on Monday.

Materials:

Fall colored construction paper
Scissors
Glue stick
Glitter (optional)
Black crayon (or craft eyes)

Method:

Trace hands on brown construction paper
and cut out to form the turkey bodies.
Rip strips of colored construction paper
to make "feathers."
(This was a perfect task for Sunny to do herself!)
Next glue the strips of colored paper
to the fingers of your hand cut-out.
(The thumb will be the head)
Cut out little orange triangles to serve
as the turkey beaks and glue them to the
thumb part of your hand cut-out.
Now cut little strips of orange paper
to make the turkey feet and glue them to the
bottom of your hand-print turkey.
Don't forget to cut out a little piece of red paper
for your turkey "gobblers" and glue them to the beaks.
(we almost forgot!)
Lastly, glue your craft eye to the thumb of your
turkey (or color one in with a black crayon).
***optional***
You can roll some glue onto the "feathers"
of your turkey and sprinkle with glitter
for a fashionable touch!

Sunny gluing away to her heart's content...

Our little turkey family proudly displayed on our front door!
(Can you see little Dainty's hand-print turkey?!)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
