Easy Craft: PB Pine Cone Squirrel Feeders

Having a new baby is lots of work, but we've been
trying our best to keep Sunny to her
schedule in spite our new, cute, but demanding addition.

One afternoon last week,
Daddy decided to try this craft with Sunny.
The results were great!

Peanut Butter Pine Cone Squirrel Feeders

Materials:

Pine cones
Peanut butter
Birdseed
String
Waxed paper or newspaper

Method:

First go out into the woods or around your
neighborhood and gather the biggest, plumpest
pine cones. Cover your craft
space with waxed paper (or newspaper). Next, slather peanut butter
all over pine cones. Roll PB covered pine cones
in birdseed and tie string to the stems of the pine cones.
Use the string to tie your squirrel feeders to
tree branches or wherever is a great spot to watch the fun.

Getting into the peanut butter ...

Thank goodness for the waxed paper!

Attaching the strings.
Sorry we didn't get pictures of the
feeders while they were hanging!
The squirrels ran off with them in
just a few days. It was fun watching them out the
window licking off the peanut butter and seeds.
