Baby #2 Week 36: Yikes!

36 weeks and still gorgeous ;)
ONLY 4 weeks left!
Wow
just
WOW!

The first trimester was a drag (literally),
the second was better,
but this last trimester is
going,
going
GONE!

I was feeling a bit overwhelmed about
getting things done on time,
but after much reasurrance from Peter,
help from a great friend,
and awesome support from my doula,
I feel like I can so do this~
packed or not.

 Baby Stats:
29 days left till due date!
Baby length approximately 18"
Baby pudges= 5.25lbs.

Mama Stats:
Baby dropped on Tuesday
and I thus feel like there is *someone*
sitting on my tailbone and wanting to "drop"
out of myself every time I walk or
have a contraction. There are lots of
extra stretching sensations going on as well.
The contractions (still Braxton Hicks...those practice ones)
have been more intense, frequent, and painful
on my poor hips and groin.
Lots of baths and stretches to help with those!
I find that if I'm up and about for too long,
I start to have contractions more frequently than
necessary for still having 4 weeks to go.
At these times I grab myself a tumbler of water and
plant myself on the couch until they have
reduced in frequency (a good 30min rest
seems to do the trick).

I'm really hoping this child doesn't have the
bold idea to come early,
though that would be good news to whomever
predicted an earlier delivery!

Labor Bag:
It is great having been through a labor/delivery
before to know what the dos and don't s
to pack are. For example;

DO pack extra clothing for hubby and self,
DON'T pack diapers and baby toiletries (hospital provides)
DO pack extra change for snacks for hubby as well as
extra snacks for self and hubby to avoid snack machines),
DO pack burpies for nursing,
DON'T pack inflatable mattress for hubby,
DO pack sleeping bag for hubby.
DO bring favorite pillow,
DO bring treats for nursing staff (starts your relationship off well!),
DO bring your own pjs (hospital gowns are not good for much),
DO bring your license and insurance cards, and
DO bring baby book for stats and finger prints!

Some extra things I'm adding this round are:
A bag of chocolate chips (I work well with motivation),
Bag of candy for hubby and doula,
Hair clips and elastics (my hair was a wreck last time),
Picture of Sunny to keep close, and
Several copies of  our Birth Wishes.

Home-wise, I have been freezing away more meals
for the first week when we get back,
getting our master bedroom ready for having
a little sleepover guest for a month ,
and preparing Sunny for having a baby around.
Sunny is so cute and I truly believe that yesterday
it finally hit her that we are having a REAL baby
come home to live with us!
