Here's a delicious dish that I just HAD to share.
Stuffed Peppers
6 large red peppers
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 cup rice
1 cup water
1 tsp. salt
dash pepper
2 cups shredded cheese
Directions:
Hollow out peppers, removing seeds, and
steam until peppers are just tender when pierced with
a knife. Place peppers in a casserole dish with
the openings facing up.
In a medium skillet, brown onions and ground
beef. Add tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce,
rice, water, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low. Cover,
and simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of the
shredded cheese. Spoon mixture into each of the
pepper cups and top off with the rest of the cheese.
Cover and bake at
350* for 25 minutes.
Serve hot and enjoy!
