To celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary,
Peter and I drove up to
New Hampshire
and spent a morning in our
boat with a picnic lunch of KFC on
Lake Chocorua.
In the afternoon we drove up to
North Conway
and stayed at
and enjoyed an
International Date-Night
at these lovely restaurants:
First Course:
We loved the authentic Thai atmosphere
and felt instantly relaxed with the soft music
playing in the background.
These chicken dumplings were delicious
and refreshing with the herb soy sauce.
Second & Third Courses:
We were charmed by our waiter
and blown away by the food.
The salads (not pictured) were so delicious!
I LOVED their Creamy Italian dressing
and Peter and I both coveted the homemade
pasta salad.
We shared this Chicken Florentine with Penne
and agreed that this was the BEST course of the evening!
Being stuffed at this point, we took a stroll through
the village, visited the shops, and
bought chocolates, cheeses, and trinkets.
Fourth Course:
The hostesses were very bubbly and
excited over my baby belly.
(which of course,
totally made my evening)
They even had us seated immediately in spite
of a long line and saw to it that I was in a
comfy seat!
Moose tracks ice cream and Irish cream coffee with liquor...
it was a very happy ending to our dining experience!
We finished off the evening with the movie ELF
(which was cute and hilarious... we ignored the Christmas stamp).
On our way home the next afternoon,
we took our time and drove down the
Kancamagus Highway.
We stopped at several scenery outlooks
and took in deep breaths of the wonderful
mountain air.
We didn't take pictures,
since we figure that no camera can properly capture
such beauty.
You will just have to go see it for yourselves!
