Baby #2 Week 24: "Beached Whale"

24 weeks
I know I don't look like a beached whale,
but I certainly FEEL like one!

I have already given up my wedding rings
to the bloating monster
(who stole my shoes as well).
My poor piggies are taking quite the beating
this pregnancy. :(

If I don't exercise every day I feel it
by the time I roll (literally)
into bed at night.
Thank God for my pregnancy pillow!

Baby kicks up a storm!
It was precious watching Peter sing to
the baby a few days back and
watching the baby kick his face *hehe*.

When I tell Sunny that,
"Baby is kicking Mommy again!"
She says,
"Oh NO!"
And runs up to put a little hand on
my belly.
She has also been known to share her
stickers with Baby
thus placing them all over my midsection,
or even tucking Baby in with her
favorite blanky and puppy.

Her cuteness totally makes up for the times
she pokes her lethal little elbows into
my stomach
or climbs all over me during yoga
(this caused my back to get pulled last week *uh!).

NESTING:
oh yeah
BIG TIME.

I am dieing of impatience for my
sister Celia to visit so we can
paint the Nursery trim yellow and
move around the furniture to accomodate
a twin bed and a crib.

I feel awful for Celia and the rest of my
family who have all come down with colds,
but PLEASE get well ASAP!

I already have a huge pile of Christmas presents
ready for wrapping and a bunch of ideas for more gifts. :)

CRAVINGS UPDATE:

Fall stews and soups?!
Mocha anything
Any recipe I happen to see in a book, magazine, Internet...
Hot dogs

I basically am hungry ALL the time.
Approximately 30 minutes after I have consumed
food I start to get hungry again.
By the time two hours has passed,
I am ready for a full meal.

This being stated,
I've only gained 2lbs.
since my last month check-up!

The upside to that is the fact that I
replaced junk food with healthier food,
so it's 2lbs of good nutrients.
*cheers for self*

Baby Stats:

Last month, the midwife noticed that the
baby's cord was atatched close to the end of
the placenta (close to the birth canal)
as opposed to being attached to the middle on the placenta.
We saw a specialist who
assured us that the placement of the cord
should not interfere with the child's birthing.
(an extreme case could mean having a c-section
as opposed to a natural child birth, or
the cord may not be supplying enough nutrients
to the baby).
The doctor and midwife are very happy with
the baby's growth. :)

Approximate length (from head to bottom): 12.5 inches
or as long as a corn on the cob.

Weight: 1.25 lb.
