It is scandalous how simple this recipe is.
I swiped it off my AllRecipes application on my Tablet
and knew it would be the perfect fix for
my new pastry craving!

Easy Apple Strudel
Ingredients:
* 2 sheets Pepperidge Farm Puff pastry
* 1 egg
* 1 tablespoon water
* 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling
* 2 tablespoons white sugar
Directions:
1. Thaw pastry sheets at room temp for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375*.
Mix egg and water together.
2. Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface.
Roll into 16x12" rectangles.
With short sides facing you,
spoon 1/2 pie filling down one half
of each pastry sheet to within 1" of the edges.
Fold over the other half of each pasty sheet
and pinch the seams together
(we used a fork to make it look prettier).
Brush tops with egg mixture
and sprinkle with the sugar.
Use a knife to cut 2" slits about 2" apart
on top.
Carefully move strudel to a greased baking sheet.
(we used waxed paper and that helped with transferring)
3. Bake 35 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool on baking sheet on top of a wire
rack for 30 minutes.
Slice and serve warm with coffee or tea.

| Mmmmm! |
My poor husband asked me how baking went today
(Wednesday is Baking Day)
and when I replied that,
"It was delicious!"
He questioned the "was..."
Well, what can I say?
At least I saved him a piece for breakfast! :)
