Diary snap-shot from a 7-year-old

While visiting my family last week,

I allowed my 7-year-old sister

to use my camera to take pictures.

Usually I go through and end up deleting 100 blurry

poses and way too close close-ups;

but I was actually impressed by

one picture in particular.

So I decided to save it.

Now it may just look like a picture of her feet,

but those cute sneakers, fuzzy socks, and bright skirt

tell me a sweet story.

It is about a spunky girl

who loves color,

life, adventure,

and just being herself.

I wish I could go back to myself at 7 years

and be as content with myself

as those purple fuzzy socks in

the heart-printed sneakers!
