We Give Thanks

Hello All!
My family and I wish everyone a great holiday weekend
and we hope that you all had an awesome
Thanksgiving!

Here are a collection of pictures that were taken during our meal preparations
and celebrations. We hope you enjoy them!

Reading over the pie recipe with Daddy

My Ace of pie crusts!

Making a lattice, fancy, fancy!

I am so impressed with Peter's lattice work!

I did add the circles for a feminine embellishment :)

Glazed with egg

Almost too pretty to eat! (almost...)

Thanks to the 5-day power-outage, I had plenty of stale bread for my stuffing!

Butter rub, herb sprinkling, and then ready for broiling!

A bowl of beautiful croutons!

Gobble gobble!

Preparing the stuffing!

Probed and ready for roasting.

Basting.

Delicious ranch cheese ball for snacking!

The house smelled so good of this juicy turkey!

MMMMM!!!

Peter carving the turkey.

Enjoying her dinner!

The cranberry sauce always comes first haha!

He even made a GLAZE!!!

My husband is the apple of my eye.

...and the rest is for me! ;)

It is so appropriate that the first Sunday of Advent starts right after Thanksgiving this year.
Advent starts the new Church calendar year, so we were able to
give thanks for all the blessings God send us this past year (there were so many!)
and to think happily about what blessings God may send us this coming year.
In a way, this Sunday is like New Years to us.

We are so excited to bring out our Advent wreath and candles tomorrow!
Our holly bushes have so many berries this year and we will use
them to decorate our wreath and home.

Have a great "New Years" everyone!

~Michelle
