Dear Diary,
It has been the same routine today as yesterday. Thank goodness for gas stoves and candles! I have a whole counter full of pumpkins that need to be cooked and stored, but I need to wait until I have the freezer running. I was told the power will be back on today, but I haven't seen any sign of utility trucks for days on our street, in fact, I haven't seen any cars at all except for ours and one other neighbor who is sticking it out as well! It is like a ghost town. I did see a patrol car once, thank heaven!
A sweet friend has offered to make a casserole and bring it over for dinner tonight. What a blessing! It is starting to get dark and I am lighting candles. I am definitely going to commit to doing that laundry tomorrow.

Sunny and I are watching them out the window.
THE POWER JUST CAME BACK ON!!!!!
Oh my gosh I feel like Christmas!!!!
Sunny and I are dancing and singing! It only took them 25 minutes to turn the power on! I can't believe it! Thank you God for electricity!
