Dear Diary,
The power is STILL out! I can't believe it! This is starting to get ridiculous. I spent another day at home as I did yesterday, only this time starting off with a nice warm shower and using the hot tap water for dishes. I really wish I could figure how to do laundry. If the power isn't on tomorrow, I will try to hand wash things.
I remembered that the nursery used to be my office and that I kept all my candles in the closet. Further investigation only proved that I have a serious obsession with candles and that we have enough to last until next Christmas. So I spent a lovely afternoon picking out which scents I preferred and which candle holders would look best where. Did I mention that I love candles?!
I made a simple cheese mac for dinner with veggies and meat. My supplies are getting low and I have a whole bunch of food to throw out still. One more day of this and I may go mad. Sunny is basking in all this. She loves playing with her cow flashlight that belts out a "MOOOO!" every ten seconds. That in itself is a complicated relationship. If you understand parents and toys that go "MOOOO!" every ten seconds, you would probably have removed those batteries yesterday; however, it is a useful source of light. Darn.
It looks like Peter and I will have another battle of cards tonight! I beat him splendidly yesterday and he is demanding a rematch. Good night!
