Hey All!
First off, I must say that I love a good old-fashioned tea party. There is nothing I enjoy more than setting the table for a friend and brewing a pot of tea (or coffee!). In these warmer summer months I have found that serving iced tea/coffee rather than hot is much more refreshing! It is the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon... I recommend that you give it a try!
My dear friend gave me a few yummy flavors of tea for our parties. Today was my turn to play hostess, so I decided to use a couple flavors and mix them together into a refreshing iced tea combo! I first decided which teas would go best together, and then I brewed them. I can tell you that the whole house was happily scented with exotic Ginger Coconut and Honey-bush Vanilla! The first batch I froze into cubes, then I brewed a second batch and chilled it in the fridge. I didn't need to add sweetener to the tea as it had enough flavor to stand on it's own. Once it was time to serve, I simply brought out two chilled glasses and poured in the cool tea and added the ices... it was perfect! We enjoyed every last drop of the tea!
