Hey all!
In my recent quest for organization, I had an idea for a device to keep my outgoing mail and several rings of keys from getting lost... something that hangs, is nice to look at, and is functional. I decided to try our local yard sales to see what I could work with. God saw to it that I didn't have to go far, for at our first yard sale sighting there was not only the item I was looking for for this project, but several other household items we needed!
I knew the "T" initial on the coaster would be perfect for my mail and key basket!
The finished product! I gave the basket a white-wash and used a detail paintbrush to copy the basic design from the coaster. I used brown and teal for accents to match the color scheme of the foyer. Of course, I added the pretty ribbon on top for a delicate touch (and to hide the nail once it is secured to the wall).
