Hello All!
For the past two years my hutch has been a combination of your average collection of cookbooks, travel books, glassware, and whatever I happen to throw on a shelf as I pass by. However, after browsing some great organization tips from Lovingly Thrown Together, I decided that today I was going to put on my creative cap and get to work! I started with browsing my favorite magazine (Pottery Barn) and circled my favorite decoration ideas and then thought of how I could realistically make it all work. Here are my results:
I decided to replace the travel books with photo albums and organized them by a color pattern or scheme. I placed the glassware on separate shelves instead of lumping them all on a single shelf. I also figured that I would de-clutter the top of my refrigerator from vases and add them to the hutch for bonus colors.
I still think I could use doilies or mats under the glass layers to help them pop out a bit and perhaps some colorful wallpaper to dress up the backboard, but I am otherwise very satisfied with my work! Thank you Esther for the inspiration!
