Hello All!
I'm sure there are a few of you who have at one time or another went to make a great recipe only to realize you ran out of the dressing or sauce. Tonight was one of those times for me! I planned on making bbq chicken and even prepped the meat and had the oven all ready to go, but alas, no yummy bbq sauce! I have had this happen before so I wasn't stressed... I knew just what to do!
It is amazing what great flavors you can come up with based on what's in your spice cabinet! Fortunately, when I like a dish or sauce, I look up the ingredients, so BBQ sauce was easy!
BBQ Sauce
1 cup Ketsup
1/4 cup Mustard
3 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2 tbsp. Red Wine/apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp. Ground Pepper
1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
2 tbsp. Brown Sugar
Its easy, just mix it all together and spread on the meat or use as dipping sauce!
If you like honey bbq sauce, add 2 tbsp honey instead of brown sugar.
If you like spicy, add red pepper flakes or chili powder and garlic salt.
For tangy add lemon or lime juice and garlic salt.
*This recipe is according to my own taste buds so fiddle around with it until it is just how you like it!
